SIUE Facilities Management is accepting applications for the position of Campus Architect. Under the direction of the Facilities Management Director, with considerable independence, the Campus Architect is the University liaison with Architectural/Engineering firms commissioned to design new or do renovations to the campuses. The successful candidate establishes University design guidelines and is the building code Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and the final decision maker on behalf of the University regarding designs and construction changes.
Furthermore, this position is the Board of Trustees Architect for review of 100% Contract Documents, attends all design and construction meetings and observes construction. Additionally, the Campus Architect supervises Facilities Management internal Architects & Engineers along with verifying that work is timely, recommends solutions to current design projects and verifies user’s needs are met.
